Aesthetic Family Dentistry opened April 15, 2005. It is a private practice that delivers comprehensive personal oral health services using a wide range of high tech diagnostic tools and provides exceptional preventative, restorative and aesthetic therapy. Dr. Methven designed his spacious two-story facility to accommodate a future associate and provide leased space below for other professionals. Dr. Methven chose to locate his state-of-the-art building in the fast developing area of Wasilla for its location along the George Parks Highway, completed in 1971, which directly links Anchorage to Fairbanks. Perched on a hill, the view from the large custom log cabin building provides stunning vistas of Pioneer Peak and the Chugach Mountains. The upper level 4,000 square foot dental space features eight operatories, reception area and a staff lounge with an outdoor deck.
Using the latest in Design and Equipment
Dr. Methven realized that a new building would give him the opportunity to incorporate the most current thinking in dental office design, information and clinical technologies. During the design process he visited A-dec's manufacturing plant in Newberg, Oregon to ensure he would have an understanding of how the clinical areas would come together. Adding to the equation is that Dr. Methven's father and brother are dentists in Oregon and have had great rapport with dental vendors for office design and equipment which led to purchasing quality long lasting equipment from A-Dec.
Each high tech operatory is equipped with A-dec cabinetry with pass-through x-rays. Each A-dec 511 patient chair was outfitted with an operatory light, a flat-screen monitor and a Continental Delivery System, equipped with two W&H electric motors for ergonomics and time efficiency. A-dec's built-in intraoral camera was a clear choice for convenience.
